USC Clothes store

Went to this shopping centre today "Meadowhall"Sheffield,England. Ended up spending £250 on a belt and 2 pairs of Diesel jeans.Expensive taste,meh sucks because I'm tight with money and hate spending it :(

I'm at the checkout and I see a sign spend over £100 get £20 off your bill.I'm like "cool £40 notes back in my sky rocket".I ask them if I can get £40 discount,the cashier looks at his manager and she says no because it's one transaction.I turn around and say how about if I pay for half in one transaction then pay the other half on another transaction.She says that will be fine if you want to do that.(I'm thinking £20 is £20 and I'm tight as fuk so I'm definitely doing this even if it means joining back of Que again haha).Seriously though wtf is happening here can't they just do it in one transaction.Took the cashier(thick as fuk weed smoking,pill popping looking type)about 20 mins to figure out how to do it after he messed it up 3 times!I didn't mind as I had 30mins to wait for a group of young people we took out to the shops to meet us back at the meeting point.

Poker has been proving pretty good this month touch wood.I had a terrible night on Monday making 3 huge mistakes then I got frustrated and made a few spews ended up dropping £580 for the night at 200nlEUR 150nl EUR and 100nl EUR.The biggest mistakes were at the 200s.
other than that I'm in the green a good amount :)

I played a few more $1.10c HU sngs and the lat 5 I played went pretty bad,losing the first 3(2 of these to horrendous calls preflop and losing to a 3 outta on both occasions)and only just managing to win the last 2.This fired my AGG-LAG game into play and I decided it was time to play 2nl PLO with about $6.I lost half of this then ended up agreeing to do some flips with some other random English guy.Was fun but pretty obvious I bust my mini FTP bankroll as I don't run too good at flipping unless its pancakes.

Another Challenge

Late 2007 before I moved to FTP from PP I had about $1.23c in my FTP account.I started to play sngs at FTP after I won a few.I would quit a $400nl session at PP when the table became allot less EV then play a few HU micro sngs at FTP. It took a long time but basically I turned that $1.23c into over $14k(think it was $15 or maybe $16k).It was really good as I already had around a $20k roll over at PP.By the time I got to around $70ish I started to short BI 20BBs into .50/1 untill I had around $1200/1300ish.Then i remember playing Allen Cunningham at 3/6 HU after I had just cashed in a FTOPS for about $500/$700(can't quite remember).After this I started playing sessions of $400nl and FTP and remember knowing the good times to play PP and the good times of the day for playing FTP.

This was a pretty good exercise for discipline,something that I feel I'm lacking at the moment as I keep playing different stakes over at the Euro sites.

I was playing a friend the other night at PLO 2nl after he shipped me $5 as my FTP account is depleted.After a few games I think I shipped it him all back and ended up with $1.10c spare.the correct amount for 1 BI into the lowest micro HU sngs.I played 4 matches last night and won all,3 vs same really bad and supremely tilted opponent.I just played 3 today and got 2 wins so it looks like a solid start for my challenge.

I don't blog much these days as it's depressing to list all the fails when I'm not doing so well.But from now on I will add an update to my challenge at the bottom of each blog.I will be playing mainly HU sngs until I get to around $70ish then I will start short buying for 100nl like before.

Last month of this horrible year

Last few days for me have been very swingy.I have been shot taking at 2/4 EUR with mixed success.The players seem very solid or very bad.There are not many of the latter.I managed to make £700 on Tuesday for less than 250 hands which was a nice start to the month and I got £250 in rakeback so being up nearly £1k on the first day of the month is fine by me :)

Tonight was a different matter,the tables looked dry so i decided no shots were to be taken tonight.I ended up playing 50/1EUR which turned out to be another cooler session.I swear 50/1 must be rigged at Boss just like no one wins at 3/6 Party

We have all had coolers in the past but it's pretty sick to be 3-tabling and get coolered left right and centre in the space of 30minutes or so.

Thoughts
#The As hand I know donker is a strong player,maybe my raise should have been 18-24ish but I feel I achieved a good fold.Maybe he might be underplaying Qs or overplaying Js but it sure feels alot more like a set than anything else.I'm either a flip or a long way behind.He 4bets my raise OOP with a player in the middle which indicates a made hand or a combo.I'd go for a made hand as it looks like the player in this middle is drawing and the donker wants to re-protect his hand.I think most players at this site are that tight they would call with a combo or any weak hand.I'm certain this is a good lay.

#I think the T-8s hand I played well but maybe 30-40EUR might have a better chance of getting called?I decided to shove as it looks like I'm turning my hand into a bluff when the board runs out like this.The river 7 is a pretty bad card is it completes 2 pair hands I could have.I think he has 1 pair type hands here?

#The AKs hand I said to myself the other day from now on I should be flatting AKs IP then jamming when people squeeze if their image warrants it.This table was pretty tight like most tables at Boss.basically if you get 4bet at Boss by a good reg he has KK/AA very rare he has AK.Some get it in with Qs from the BTTN/Blinds but most just call the 3bets.I decided to flat here.Think I should just fold pre given how tight people are.Crazy I know plays well different from American sites.

#The Qs hand in the blind I flat the 3bet as UTG is super tight.After he ships it I know there is a good chance he is value pushing AA/KK and trying to get AK or any pair to call.The hands above are in order as played so i guess I took a line that was to get the most value out of the hand but I'm committed preflop.I'm not sure my thinking is right for assuming this player can shove AK in this spot.Looking back this is a fold.This is how tight poker is becoming.

#The Ks hand is pretty standard.I like his line here makes me fold a ton of my range.Just annoying 14%ers get there all the time it seems vs me.

#The set of 5s I decide to go for value and ship the turn as it makes any Ace call from the blinds and any straight draws.I put him on any ace after he called flop and the player was very weak.

#The TPGK hand I added for pure comic value,player folds for 40c into a 100EUR pot or something.Pretty crazy but I'm sure his computer messed up.If it's not his computer he must be very messed up.

I think I'm just going to play 1/2 and skip 50/1 as I have ran supremely bad there.I did well tonight not to spew after having about 3 nights with only 4-5hours sleep in last 5 days.I caught up on sleep last night so I feel very fresh compared to 2 days ago.I know I'm still tired so I quit the session stuck and decided to watch TV until I'm tired enough to sleep.

I'm at a house party on Friday so maybe I'll post a few pics if it does not get too messy.

I have had a few problems the last few days after Boss media updated the client software it added an extra "5000000"tag to all the game numbers which my poker software can not read.It became so bad I couldn't play until I found a solution to fix this.Still means I have to mess around a bit to convert & import hands but at least now thanks to a 45minute phone call with my Dad this morning I can do this allot faster than messing around with each hand manually.

I want to apologise to everyone who reads and comments on this blog.After a poster commented yesterday "pokercoach2007" I believe I replied and then all of my comments from every single blog got deleted.Very strange indeed!At first I thought I made the mistake and deleted them but after further inspection you can only delete one comment at a time whilst on comments.I don't know what's happened here so sorry everyone :(

Another thing about the Internets,if you go on twoplustwo be careful as they have been hacked and malware posted onto the site.

I only needed 2BI today to get to Stage 2 so today I only ended up playing 31 hands and quit after making the 2 BI HU.I would sooner start back tomorrow at 50/1EUR a fresh day than move up today.Plus I want to have some fun this weekend and that means drinks tonight :)

Looking at this year as a whole is still pretty disgusting but I look at this as a new challenge and I'm confident I will be at Stage 3 and hopefully very close to Stage 4 come January 2010.

Back on Da Euro

Back playing at Boss.Ended up busting all my USD BR trying to take a shot at PP 2/4NL with just over 3 BI duh!

I had a very annoying start today.27 hands I had to quit before I smashed the flat up.I had to email Boss Media complaining about the software/server LAG.I asked for a refund as I had a flush in a hand but timed out due to LAG.They said the HH has been passed onto the poker site manager and his team to investigate.Pretty funny as I don't know anyone who folds a flush HU yet alone the 3rd nut flush.

In other news I have not played much this last week or so as I have had to catch up with my Youth Work Diploma studies.I'm nearly back up to date now so hopefully I can make a few £K before the months out.
Also another thing I wanted to share is that I finally got out of the twilight hours that Internet poker brings.I used to go to bed at around 4:45am on an average and get up about 1:30pm.It's took a long while ramping down my sleeping times but I manage to sleep no later than 2am and most nights I'm fast away in the land of nod before 1am which enables me to get up about 9am.
This gives me chance to study for a few hours,train for an hour then hit the shower and grab a bite to eat bringing me to about 12:30/1pm to start grinding on the Euro sites.I think the sites are decent 12pm-11pm during the week.
I'm really happy playing back on Euro sites and the tables are super soft.The sleep thing and regular training/fitness defiantly helps too.

My take on the WSOP FT

I have been up around 3hours today.I was watching the live updates last night till 2:30am.I think Antoine Saout has made the most progress and has looked like he will win imo.But Joe Cada is playing very strong and has came back from a short stacks to be right up there.Also Eric Buchman has played well the whole table.Darvin Buffoon Moon that I have dubbed him has got the chip lead back after a shit load of spews. 4bet CR the flop to 15million and folding for 6million more all-in just shows you what a total donk this guy is.He has made some horrendous plays.So far I think he has made about 6 clear errors.The AQ against Iveys AK really upset me and probably the rest of the poker world but even though he is a donk he has to call really as Ivey was pretty short and just starting to get into JAM mode with his short stack.Still a lucky mistake though never the less.The best spew play for Darvin the Buffoon Moon was 3bet shoving his stack 20million over a 1.5million utg raise of Begleiter's.It gets snapped and QQ is tabled and Moon flips over AQ0 getting there on the river for a 40pot.Jesus this game is retarded and it hurts me to read these updates.Moon is worse than Gold by far.Please don't let another donk win this prestigious event please!

Changing room fun!

I have been super active all year with the fitness stuff.It was part of my NY Resolution to do tons more exercise.I have always been fit so it's really easy for me to get fat burned and muscle gained :) I have been doing a mixture of weights,circuits,runs,bike rides and swimming.Training about 4 times a week on average for the year(was 5 days but slacked off last few months)

Today I decided to go swimming at my regular swimming baths.As soon as I walked in I saw this hot girl I used to work in sales with so that was nice.Still in a daze I collected my change after paying the kiosk lady and headed into the changing rooms.I saw this hippy looking dude with really girly long hair walk in first.I was thinking what a gay,you really look like a girl.I couldn't wait too see how girly his face was.I walked around the corned near the showers and they was all girls in the shower and this hippy looking dude(view from back)was actually the hot girl I used to work with hahaha.Epic!Instead of loads of girls screaming like I thought they would when a man sees them in shower they started laughing.
The hot girl and I laughed my ass out of the changing rooms explaining to her that this is the mens wtf are girls doing in here????
Aparently they only have a male maintenance guy and stuff needed sorting in the females changing room so they temporary changed them around for the day.Because I have been going there like 22 years or whatever in the same changing room you don't really look at the signs on doors anymore.I'm grateful that there was no young girls in the changing rooms,they were all probably 18/19+ so I'm only going to be perceived as a pervert at worst and not a pedo haha.They all had there bathing costumes on anyways.

Was today a good day

I think so.I really need to just stop playing online I know this much.I just can't do anything other than tilt & spew at the moment.I started the day off losing just under a stack at $50nl HU on PP.
After this I took the liberty of updating my PP screename into something cool.Like it wasn't already ;)
I got allot done today,that's the main thing about a poker players lifestyle that I'm in love with.Everything else about poker/the game I pretty much hate at the moment.
I had a productive day anyway:

*Travel to DTD in Notts and put in 2hrs work live.I breaked to get food but after I ate I didn't feel like playing anymore so came home a few stacks up.

I made 2 clear mistakes,one which I'm not sure about.
The main mistake was after limping in utg with AdQd and flopping TPNFD/Combo on:

The flop was about 5/6 players.I lead for £4,everybody folds and SB makes it £9,BB mucks and it's back on me.I think about re-popping but decide its FR and he has T4/Q4/few flush draws(not sure he raises these)and a few Qs(more likely to be in his range as the raise was small.Think some bad players do this with weak top pairs to find out were there at)
I call the £5 and the turns:

He checks and I say is this a ten or a weak Q to which he replies I have 3 tens.I decide to check back as it feels like a ploy to CR me on the turn,and I would hate myself if I bet the turn as I feel I'd have to call a raise and be even more frustrated if I miss the river.

He bets £16 pretty quick and I tank and level myself.
Because I checked back turn I made my hand look weak which sometimes induces bluffs and gets other stuff to V-bet.I'm running through the hands and say this and also add the only real hand I think I lose to which is likely is T4s.
I decide to call and quickly he shows T4s as my cards hit the muck :)

So my thoughts were spot on but I leveled myself into calling.I don't think my play here is bad even after calling the river.I'm not sure how I would rate my river call here.I know its not horrible as I'm at top of my range and with bluff induce factors and what not.

Another thing that's annoying me at the moment is the M1 to and from Notts is 50mph like all the way due to the extra lane constructions.FFS this is tilting!!!

Going to have a long break from online

This year has been bad due to bad luck.Because of this I have played fairly bad out of frustration so I have decided to quit online cash for a while.I can't maintain my A-Game due to frustrations from how bad I seem to run.I shouldn't let it get to me but I can't help it just latley so that's that for online cash.I'd been playing HU SNGs and it's hillarous.Last 18 games I have played about 11 times I had 60/40 all ins and lost everytime.I always seem to lose favorites and don't get lucky much either.

I'm going to play more live poker from now on and play MTT's live and online.I have less than $1000 USD online.Part of me thinks I should have played through the bad spot at $400nl on FTP last year rather than move sites,levels but I can't change that stuff now.

I have not won an all in Kings hand for a while.Running terrible with king.Might just open shove it now up to 160BBs try to get some weird value.



The player that I shove on were fish.The ATo v KQs hand he was 96/72/5 with a 3bet of 32% Hand before he had 50BBs and I shoved KJs into his AQs and doubled him up.It was like any ace im smashing it in his face.

The hand with the fish picking up the OESD I was readless other than the HUD.Maybe I should just c/f but I just feel weak if I cant successfully go with my read him being very weak.

I have little confidence in poker these days and days like this make me want to quit.I never seem to run hot.All I seem to do is run bad,super bad or normal.I even have a NITTY style to reduce variance but these fuckers keep on BINKING me lol

Getting bored of cheeseburger stakes

I just fall to bits the more hands I play it seems.My game has been sucking at 50/1 for the last 2-3k hands.I'm break even this month at the level for about 6k hands and have lost motivations.

I played some $400nl on FTP and got into some really interesting spots,one I managed to win a 3bet pot of calling a 3bet preflop in MP after CO had raised and SB called.I'd post the hand if it wasn't so horrible.

Tonight I phoned Party Gaming and asked them to give me a bonus.I got a pretty good deal.

Hit 5,500 Points in 30 days and you get the lot.It's released in 5 increments of $185-1100 points.

I have always said the PP regs are better than everywhere else and I still think thats true.One habit I know that is a bit of a leak for me at FTP is calling light.This habit is from all the PP fish bluffing or betting light.This is something that everyone does at PP.Everyone calls light in small-medium pots,some times all in 100BB pots(rarer).Maybe this is my theory of why Party Poker tables always seem to produce more action in general.
Anyways I'm trying to play $400nl very underolled.In totall I have about 10 BI for the level with all my funds but at Party I started playing with 2.5BI today which is now just over 3.5BI.Some people may think this is crazy but I actually think it helps me respect money and play better,concentrate harder etc etc.When I first started $200nl in 2008 I had less than 4BI and managed to run up a 15BI BR for $400nl.
I'm definitely going to need all my monster hands to hold up or I'll be BUSTO'd pronto(at least my PP account anyways).

Back on track

I have got my shit together this month big time.I'm playing really good against the 50/1 regulars and fish of FTP. I have knocked in 19,525 hands so far and I think I'm going to get in another 5,000 hands before the months out.My thought process is much more improved and I'm just bot-ing 6max and using what ever strong reads I have against the regulars tendencies to add a bit more EV to my game.

Today I have actually had the worst session in terms of BI's lost ever at poker in one session.My first session I made nearly 2 BI so the whole day I'm stuck 5 BI which is good considering how I could have tilted allot of money away.I'm really pleased I didn't tilt even after starring hard at the screen after about the 3rd beat.Poker can be pretty dissatisfying at time and today was no exception.The main hands which I felt I couldn't have played any better if I had tried so I'm happy."Skylansky's" banked I guess!

Update

I was messing around on FTP and found out that I was 4th in the twoplustwo league for the fantasy poker.I picked my team ages ago,forgot about it and not made any alterations to my team.Maybe I should be a sports bettor.

I have had a rough time so far with poker this year,the main thing is people are improving,not as much dead money as there used to be and I have played bad/run bad.So yeah I use every excuse in the book to cover why I'm sucking so hard right now.

Well hopefully this will all change soon,I wouldn't say I'm super motivated but I'm certainly motivated to improve my game and get back up to scratch.At the moment I have been trying to improve heads up.The main things I'm trying to nail are less tilt,spew,ill advised moves and just all more all round solidness of my game.I think when I'm playing good I'm a great player but I find it hard to keep my A-game up and I veer off from the best paths at times.This is definitely the most important thing to me.I have spent around 20k hands focusing on improving my red line.As a result of this I have been playing my arse off in very light spots indeed.I think it's improved one part of my game and destroyed another.Well not destroyed as I just need to get out of the habit of always having air :) I'm sure my blue line would go up a bit in another 40k hands maybe :)
From now on when I play I want to always follow these rules:

Play my A-game

Quit when I feel that I can't bring my A-game or I'm veering from my A-game

Don't play tired or with negative emotional feelings

Soon as I feel the tiltmonkey inside swinging around quit the session

After I have a better control on all of the above I will look into not be such a lazy arse and play allot more than 2hrs a day(I have not even managed this lately)

My friend Tom well this is a good story.Few years back I met his brother online in a $22 sng I believe.I noticed his location and mentioned I live pretty close by.We got talking and swap mails and I met Tom thought Martin.I don't got many friends as my head has been wrapped up in poker for so many years and you don't get much of a social life.I have even less poker friends so Tom & Martin were a welcome addition to my poker friend/friend network for sure.


I don't talk to Martin & Tom much these days as I have not had MSN messenger on for months.I probably turn it on once a week to check mails or just be nosey and see who is online.Anyway too my surprise I turn MSN messenger on a couple of days back and Tom informed me of some great news.He told me that he took down the $50k gtd for $13,762.50c which is fantastic news well done buddy.I still think Martin runs better though,remember his story of how he sat in first hand at AP and won the BBJ :) sick!

I really feel lame and dirty.I just wired the last of my USD BR into my account so I really don't know what to make of poker as the above graph is the last of my poker monies BR in GBP.I ran it up to 20 BI for 50/1EUR and just ran bad and seem to continue getting raped at 25/50EUR.

Some people just run good at this game and then there are people who run normal.Myself,I have come to believe that I just run bad.If I could be arsed to graph all my hands I ever played I think I would just be sick and die!

Warning Cheeze Burger Stakes

Poker Update
I really have not been to impressed with poker this year one bit.The last 8 months I have run like dirt and the last 4 months I have run like dirt and played bad also making my downswing even worse.
I was in need of a change of pace so made the decision to try out a Euro poker site.I'm only playing low stakes for a few reasons;

1: I only had £1,149 BR in my E-Wallet account
2:I think I need to work my way back up through the levels
3:By doing #2 I feel I'm only going to improve my re-adjusting skills

I have mainly played 25/50(50nl) mixtures of EUR/GBP tables.
Obvious this is higher than the equivalent USD tables but it is really low for a Mid-Stakes-NL player.
I'm trying to follow a 20 BI rule and take 5 BI shots at the next level until/if I reach 5/10 and then just take 3 BI shots.

I feel all of the above is good for me at this time as I need some focus/structure because my mind has not been in the best of tune towards poker.

Here is my graph so far at the site(about 3/4 days last month of play also) I think I'm doing fairly good after running around 7.5 BI under All-In EV so far.I'm really impressed with my non showdown winnings-(red line) but I think this may be because 75% of the hands are HU




Dusk Till Dawn
Last night me and a friend visited Dusk-Till-Dawn at Nottingham.The night was very slow and I booked a losing session at 50/1 GBP -£19

I was pretty cold all night for 3hrs play I got bottom set in on flop vs nut straight and 50BBs effective got dealt AJo as my highest ace which was a fold preflop due to action preflop and just got a bunch of trash hands with no potential.

Only intresing hand was where I 3bet the CO with 6d-7d on the BTTN.Everybody folds CO calls.

I'd double barrowed him off a hand earlier and showed a total air ball :) Plus I know he has to snap this as he thinks I'm trying to take the chop away.I think he has to be right about 3.85 times to break even/slight profit on the call.Guess he didn't add this in his decision to call.

Bleh,can't be arsed anymore....

This was the second hand I played tonight.I had not played for a while due to my game being way off and running a little below average.I managed to play the orbit then I thought it was best to just leave.I'm hating poker right now.I really don't want to play this game for much longer.I'm due to go to San Remo on the 18th for the EPT.The way I feel at the moment I'm leaning towards staying well away from any place poker related so may give the trip a miss.

I'm getting really sick of the game.I was thinking about taking the summer off,going on holiday then taking a £8k shot at HSNL.If I bust I return to normal life with a few quid in the bank,if I do ok I stay out in the crazy lifestyle for however long my body can last?

Raw Vegas dudes do a fantastic job in trying to get Mr Hamilton to speak here.There is no real point to the guy trying to respond as we all know he did the dirt anyway.After all far too much incriminating evidence links himself to the scandal,but him keeping quit and trying to act as cool as an old dude can under pressure defiantly makes him the most hated person in poker by a long shot for anyone serious about the integrity of the game.

January blues leads to february blues imo

I'm kinda on a break from poker right now as my mind is in a weird place,torn between frustrated and angry and of course my "A Game" is no where to be seen.I'm slowly coming out of this weird place but at my own pace.I'm still playing,just no where near as much!I have played 90% HU so far this month,too try to regain confidence in my game.So far I have crushed HU but I'm only playing piss ants at low levels up to 1/2.

Basically last month apart from playing bad/running bad I think I genuinely got crushed,saying that though I think it was me playing horrendous which lead to me getting crushed on various sessions.

I have been just chilling out the last few days and will continue to just drift along for however long it takes my mind to recover from the disappointment of January.I have been really enjoying my time,watched a ton of You Tube vids,listened to a ton of various music and have made an effort to be much more social hooking up with a few friends and what not.

Also I have been talking to a number of girls recently,maybe I shouldn't chat about stuff like this here but I think it's kinda funny.Basically I used to Pwn girls,now I really have not got much of an clue and have very low confidence levels.Poker has proper denied me over in my social skills and I intend to amend this asap.After all this is a good excuse to buy lots of nice new clothes,hit a few various destinations and get utterly pissed amirite?

Things that are annoying me

I woke up today with a man hammering on my door trying to tell me I would be better off to switch energy providers blah blah blah.....after about 15 seconds of his mantra I was like "your not listening,I'M NOT INTERESTED"

So my day got off to a bad start.I feel so ffffing tired today it's untrue.I had a fairly good day yesterday and got back to nearly even again after all of this months doom & gloom.

Things that are annoying me today:

• Some clown woke me up
• I'm pretty tired and I get angry why I'm tired
• Party Poker update has messed me up as now I have to manually re size all table onto my primary then move the excess onto my secondary
• Party Have not responded to my mails from over 18hrs ago,I can't wait for this so called VIP high balla level of support to start in February.I'm so going to mess with them like never before :)
• I spent time on Thursday looking at other poker sites VIP reward system and it looks clear as day that PokerStars Crushes the fuk out of every other poker site it terms of bonuses,VIP rewards,Store items,Rakebackpan(once right VIP level achieved).I heard that starts MSNL is a rock garden and have never tried this out.I worked out that I'll be supernova after 1 yrs play and I'll make Platinum after the first month making 28k+ FPP's per month so that's like a new Nintendo WII every month or a PS3 every 1.3 Months.I might be shipping some money over to starts to give them a few months of my time.The only thing that is attractive at party at the moment is if you keep your VIP every month you can change your screen name which is sweet as fuk.I think this is worth a ton if you have an image like I put down this month.So I guess this is making me angry in a way as I can't decide what the fuk I wanna do.

On another note I have put in a fair bit of work on what was going to be a Poo-Bah post for my account at 2p2.I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet as it still needs a little bit of work,but it's shaping up to be a fairly interesting article about alternative ways too maximise our profitability at poker and how to prolong the profitability of the poker games in the current economic climate.It could be worth seeing if I can get it into a poker magazine of some sort.I really don't know how to go about this for best.I hear that Tommy Angelo is a good contact to have to talk about these types of things so maybe I'll approach him if the article has good potential at end result.

I have been feeling the pressure of variance lately like never before.I guess the only good thing I can think of that may come of this would be that I get to practice greater tilt control.Things have been pretty sick this month to say the least.

Today I just logged on today too play and only got 119 hands into the session before I need to take a break because of the coolers.

Here are the main 3 hands that I got involved posted in the order which they happened.The last hand was the first hand at the table with a fish,so I think his play(for a fish)is pretty good.Obvious he shouldn't have seen the flop but I guess first hand he thinks it's a squeeze,exactly what we intend the play to look like but hey,"what ya gonna do"








I run that bad that this was not even a BBJ table and if it was where the hell was the Jh on the river and the last god dam Ace in the deck on the turn.I mean come on Party if you wanna doomswitch me fine but have decency to drop me the BBJ when I'm at those tables.Not too much to ask I feel :)

I also was looking into big hands and the more I look the more ill I feel.AA aipf 13 times for 85BBs+ lost 5 times.
8/5 with AA all in preflop for the last 18k hands.... wtf is happening KKx2/QQ/JJ/AK

I'm also changing views on AK as I can't win a flip with it against 44/77/99/QQ x 3 and ran it up against AAx2 and KKx3 this month.

Back in teh green

Yes,I'm back in the green finally after a really awful start to 2009.Man the last 10 days I have played awesome(even tho my red line sucks/I had to give up on double & 3barreling my monies off to stubborn regs).I ran about 8.5 BI under EV from 1st-11th of this month.I'm about even on the EV now only 2.25 BI under EV so I can't grumble not to bad for 17k hands :)

Last 10 days

Today started off shocking,I raise AA in MP,CO & BTTN call,SB squeezes $69,BB 4bets Cold $169 pretty much turns his hand face up,I'm thinking of calling but the SB is lol bad and decide I would want to die if they hit something on me(bad thinking?)so I just shove and let the hand play out.Luckily this was only 100BBs,after the board runner runners to ship him with KK a 4card straight board.

I have played really amazing all day taking down pots where I believe I have folded out TPTK and made really non-standard plays against the right opponents to maximize the EV of each hand in each situation.This hand is a classic example of over aggressive maniac types:

I ended up netting $960 for just under 3hrs for the day,after the AA v KK hand and I also escaped KK v AA utg vs MP I 4bet small too induce $102 he trap calls and we both check it down all the way as it's JTK flop blank turn and rivers.I was so happy about how that one played out.Never had that happen before,so really I have $300 more than I would normally have in the spot :)Take a look at it lolzors indeed :)

Also I was thinking today how lazy I have been last year missing out on tons of $$$$$ I should have been grinding towards.I really think you can make allot of money still at this game.One things for sure I'm glad you can now change your SN once at month at Party as everyone will get really used to a certain style which I'm applying in the 6max games.I been thinking about just changing the bet sizes preflop when I change SB just to throw players off the scent mahwhahahaha.

Oh,I got an order through on Tuesday from Full Tilt Poker store.I got lots of stuff clothes and digital camera and other stuff,just wanted to say if anyone wants any FTP poker clothes the Armless Fleece jacket rocks,ima have to take a few shots of me at the poker table with it on because I look like I know what I'm doing when I wear that ;) Pukka mate!

Yesterday was fun.I made a two fairly bad calls whilst 6 tabling in games which were not that profitable so I was just about to quit then I coolered one of the better regs a few times.The QQ hand looks passive,but his 3bet stat is ridiculously low in this position and he showed down one of the 2 hands I expected to see.

I have a friend who likes poker,he is not a terrible player but definitely no where near good enough to be profitable online.He was asking me a fair few times over the last couple of weeks to go too "Dusk Till Dawn". This poker card room is one of the best I've played in the UK.Last night I couldn't believe how busy it was with all the tournaments running.I only played £0.50p/£1 which is the equivalent to around $1/$2nl online.The game a sat in was really soft like it mostly is at that level as it's the lowest spread.I made 0.8 BI for around 2hours grind.I'd been raisin lots IP and had limped a few times UTG with various hands.New player had just sat on my UTG and I decided to limp with AA.He pops to £8 everyone mucks it back to me.I'm thinking this is going to look so obvious now if I pop.I think a little more and decide to pop to £32 as he probably won't be able to fold any kind of hand being as it's his first hand and he may think that I think that he is trying to bully the table on his first hand,and this could be a good reason for my limp-repop.Sure enough he falls for it humming and haring and sticks it in with JJ.Saying this though,he only bought in for £60 so I was pretty disappointed.God I hate games which are not 100BB effective!!!

So my day was pretty good,I think I netted around $1300 online & live combined.It might turn out to be not as good though.My eyes are pretty bad when I'm driving in the dark,I think I busted 3 speed cameras in the 35 mile trip down to Nottingham(DuskTillDawn) from where I live meh!

HH Replayer I forgot about

I found a HH replayer ages ago which I forgot about until reading another blog today.I was trying to get a HH Replayer like Poker X factor so I could show some HH's from sessions or tournaments here to make the blog a little more interesting.I'm not too sure If I can get multiple hands on this site,but here is a nice hand at the end of yesterdays session.

$1350 day feels nice after swinging down $4k.Only 4 BI stuck now so things feel much better and I'm really working hard on my game.

Also I have been into Katers17 for ages and feel that I must show her love here.She has some really funny videos on You-Tube.Go on check them out next time your on You-Tube and subscribe if you think she's cool.

Busy Bee

Wow,this month is insane for me.What a difference a day makes,what difference a year makes more like.I'm banging in hands like never before.I almost have surpassed my biggest volume in one month already.
I'm not just busy at the tables either.I'm working out a ton at the moment.Weights,Running and Circuits.I trained that much today I was actually sick when I got back from my run.Only a little bit of sick but still.I'd not been running for a few weeks so going today was hard.I had to stop and walk for 30 seconds or so twice as I was getting burning in my throat after a lack of fluids before I hit the road,so that was not so clever of me.

I'm running under EV at poker but whatever,with how much I'm playing at the moment I should do well in the next few months after I run through this dodgy spell hopefully.

I was thinking about playing some big tournaments this year,but I guess I'll have to make some money first then decide as I go :)

OK I'm done,this was just a quick post while Party Poker was down.So bad everyone gets disconnected then after 5-6mins me and a fish are HU and rest sat out,I get him for 3 hands then Party goes Kaput!

Solid as wet poop

I really don't know why,but when I play at Party I play very loose in comparison to how I play at Full Tilt.This is pretty bad,or at least it feels that way at the moment because I'm running 9.5 BI under EV and I think I've tilted off about $3.5k(tilt bad play,retarded bluffs,and retarded calls)over about 8k hands I think.

I'm going to take a few days off and have a breather.I'm finding things very hard at the moment,and I think I'm the one making things harder on myself with all the FPS and retarded stuff I've been doing.

I'm writing this as I couldn't sleep tonight.I was tired at 1am,went to bed and just rolled around for 45minutes so I decided to take on Vista at chess.lol.3-1 to me and we got a gay draw as well.Rigged!!!(level 4 ldo,can only win level 5 like 30% of the time and mostly just get a draw)

Nightmares

I keep having this nightmare.The only problem with this nightmare is that I'm awake and it's re-occurring.

I feel that the games are becoming tougher and tougher making it less an less profitable to be a poker player.As our game evolves through this period of financial burden which has struck the world pretty hard,I just keep on thinking "Jesus look at all this NITs"
OK I play pretty tight most of the time so I guess I'm guilty as well.But if you care to look back in time 3month----9months----16months----24months---36months yep you guessed it.The standard just gets better and better all the time.
I think it's defo very good for a player to study this game and live for poker and let poker consume your every thoughts.If you don't you won't get very far at this game.This being said I have always hated on training sites and the coaches that think there pretty good because there a coach for Card Runners,Leggo or Deuces or what other site.Most of the coach's on these site are no where near the top players at each level.
Ask me how I know this,well it's pretty fukin easy.I mean if you knew a good strategy for a game of skill which when you played other players in a game of skill why would you want to give these other players the edge that you have other them?
OK there is an exception to this.I do know that there are good players,even SIK players that do coaching(and it's these guys that I think that are the most retarded!)

Lets try to think of another way how we can fuk ourselves out of another 1-2PTBB/100
